Big Rapids Press Pit II

MP Kelly installed a press pit for Big Rapids Products in Mount Sterling, KY.

The pit was 23′ by 41′ and 16 feet deep with a 3 foot thick base mat. The pit was designed with four machine piers designed to carry a dynamic load of 560,000 lbs and a static load of 1,390,000 lbs. The pit features a variety of pits and trenches for uncoilers, electrical and bolster rails.
